Winter Skills Snowdonia
It was windy and wintry for our latest Snowdonia Winter Skills course. With variable temperatures forecast, 50mph winds and snow and hail, the planning stage was crucial. We opted for Cwm Lloer and a Northerly route to Ysgolion Duon. With the snow pack fast disappearing we made the most of the morning session to cover ice axe and crampons movement before concentrating on the winter navigation, emergency procedures and other course syllabus on the return journey. Well done to Tudur and Richard for braving the elements and enjoying what is fast becoming a "typical" Welsh winter day out!
