Course Description

This course is aimed at beginners or those with limited knowledge of walking independently in the hills of the UK. Maybe you are a regular walker but aren’t completely confident about planning, navigating and understanding other factors which affect us when we walk in the hills. The emphasis is very much on the practical side and the two days will be structured to give you ample time to practise and consolidate your new found knowledge and skills. Navigation will be practised throughout the two days. Our aim is to give you the confidence to venture out onto the hills independently whilst learning in a relaxed and fun way.

We also offer the accredited version of the Hill Skills course where you can pre register with Mountain Training for an additional fee. Please let us know if you wish to register and we can help you through the process.

Please take a look at our accommodation links at the bottom of this page or contact us if we can help in any way.

If the course dates don't match your availability then please get in touch and we'll do our best to arrange a suitable date!
