Yr Wyddfa is the highest mountain in Wales. It's one of our most famous and regonizable landmarks and is understandably very popular. Overlooking the village of Llanberis, Yr Wyddfa offers views of the North Wales coastline, the Carneddau, Glyderau and further afield. There are numerous paths up this beautiful mountain and we offer guiding services for all of them, throughout the year. We do our utmost to help look after the fragile mountain landscape and will introduce you to the local history, communities and legends of Yr Wyddfa!

You'll meet your friendly guide at the village of Llanberis at 08.45 for a kit check and finalise plans for the day.
The exact route will depend on the current weather conditions and other factors but our preferred route involves taking public transport from Llanberis to Pen y Pass (ticket included) and walking the PYG track to the summit.
The PYG track is a route that brings us into the heart of Yr Wyddfa. It meanders it's way up through stunning scenery and mountain slopes. Although much of the walk is on an established path there are areas where the use of your hands are required to move along safely. After spending some time at the summit area, we descend the Llanberis path which offers fantastic views over to Anglesey.
The total distance walked can be between 7 and 9 miles. You should be prepared to walk between five and seven hours over mountain terrain but at a steady, manageable pace. Don't worry if you aren't super fit but it does help to have a basic level of fitness so that you enjoy your day. Please contact us if you are unsure or would like advice.
The cost is an inclusive day rate which means when you book, it is exclusively booked for you alone or for you and up to 7 additional members of your group. This means unlike other companies, we won't cancel your booking because of insufficient numbers. We keep our ratios low so that you get a personal, quality experience and whether you are a solo traveller or you bring some friends along, we'll make sure that you are looked after. We hold the Eryri Gold Ambassador Award and are Yr Wyddfa Visit Specialist which means we have invested time and effort in improving our knowledge so that you get a first class experience.
Please contact us for private guiding days and larger group discounts. We offer these walks through summer and winter and we can arrange a date to suit you.
Note: All our staff are qualified, knowledgeable and will always strive to give you the best experience coupled with ensuring your safety.
All timings on the mountain are approximate.

I researched Anelu Aim Higher from Canada and could not have been happier I chose them. Steve was very helpful with the booking and prompt and professional with all email correspondence. On the day we climbed Snowdon Steve was fantastic. He was really helpful and supportive and helped me summit providing poles and managing my pace as my quads burned! I always felt safe in his hands. He is also a very knowledgeable guide who knows local history and geology and it was a great experience. Being guided up Snowdon by an experienced local Welshman who is a great ambassador for both the outdoors and Wales was a fantastic experience. I can give Anelu Aim Higher my strongest recommendation. Thanks Steve for a great day on Snowdon!
Still smiling days after my ascent of Snowdon, largely due to Stephens skilled guidance. He ensured I felt safe on a rainy January morning with gusts of 45 mph and snow at the peak, whilst building my confidence to manage some tricky, but rewarding, terrain. Also, really interesting to learn about the local area and the formation of the Snowdonia mountain range. Wonderful photos and videos sent promptly afterwards, extremely professional and a fun experience which I look forward to repeating with Aim Higher!
1 year on and photos popped up on my fb. What an amazing day we had, cannot recommend Steve enough from transport to helping us get to the summit of Snowdon. I'm afraid of heights but knew I wanted to conquer my fear, Steve helped and encouraged me all the way and keeping a great sense of humour. He makes me want to climb more over and over again. Thankyou for your skills and knowledge. Let's do it again
